Neepa Saha
Neepa Saha manages the Nabha Foundation’s livelihood and education programs. She brings with her extensive experience in areas of development and health.
In her career as a development professional, Neepa has worked on a number of issues like poverty, livelihood, health promotion, reproductive and sexual health, rights of young people and community health. Her work has involved strategy making, program management, research and advocacy. As a Program Officer and Coordinator of the Adolescent Resource Centre with Child In Need Institute (CINI), Kolkata, she was instrumental in starting a state forum of NGOs working with young people. During her association with CINI, she edited a series of monographs titled “Adolescentspeak: Voices from the Ground” based on findings from the states of Bihar, Jharkhand and Orissa.
Thereafter, Neepa headed the Information, Research and Advocacy Division at the Voluntary Health Association of India (VHAI), New Delhi. In VHAI she initiated and coordinated a national study on poverty alleviation in India. During her association with VHAI she authored a monograph titled “Poverty Alleviation Programs in India”. She also worked on health promotion and community health in VHAI. Before joining the Nabha Foundation, Neepa was working as a consultant with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) on their adolescent health program.
Neepa was awarded a gold medal for a first position in her Masters degree in Archaeology and Heritage Management from G.G.S. Indraprastha University, New Delhi. She also secured first position in Calcutta University in her Bachelors degree in History from Presidency College.
