Social entrepreneurship is one of our core focus areas and the portfolio is dedicated to creating institutions and platforms that strengthen the ecosystem for social entrepreneurship in India. One of our current initiatives is the annual ‘Khemka Forum on Social Entrepreneurship’ convened in partnership with leading organizations.
We are looking for a person with an enquiring mind, a deep learning orientation, excellent relationship management skills and a passion to serve a brilliant community of change agents to join the Foundation’s social entrepreneurship team.

The Job
Primary responsibilities:
In the initial months, working in close coordination with the Forum team, you will assist on the management and coordination of all aspects of the Forum. Moving ahead, you will work on developing and facilitating the action items emerging from the Forum and integrate them into the work of the portfolio.
You would be expected to:
Maintain an awareness and knowledge of the social entrepreneurship landscape in India and the issues faced by the community of social entrepreneurs, both through research and networking at a high level.
Provide strategic direction to the social entrepreneurship portfolio, ensuring all programs serve the needs of the field.
Work in close coordination with the partners and the internal team in the planning, design, and management of the Forum to ensure it is relevant, practical and results oriented.
Bring strong financial analysis skills to the team.
Main deliverables would include:
Content Development
In consultation with the Program Director, assist in developing the overall theme for the Forum as well as specific sessions.
Develop concept papers and business plans for the programs under the portfolio as well as proposals for partnerships.
In partnership with leading thinkers develop thought provoking insightful articles on the various facets of social entrepreneurship.
Prepare communication material for the portfolio for dissemination on the web and other fora.
Prepare an analytical report on the proceedings of the Forum.
Prepare a report on the working groups.
Marketing
Lead person for all communication efforts to promote the Forum, ensure high visibility for the Forum.
Partnership management
Build collaborative relationships aimed at sustainability of the relationships for the portfolio
Actively manage existing partnerships and seek new partnerships for the portfolio.
Facilitate working groups
In addition you would be required to coordinate and facilitate working groups set up by the Forum delegates to address some of their most pressing issues.
The Person
You would ideally have
Five to seven years experience in initiating and/or managing a program
Expertise in conducting financial analysis of social enterprises and developing business plans
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to network with high level individuals from a variety of constituencies including business, the social entrepreneurship community and the government.
Excellent administrative and project management skills; an ability to plan, organize and follow through with budgets.
Exceptional writing skills.
A record of success in working collaboratively.
